Board of Directors
First appointed April 2022, next election October 2025.
Mark chairs our Audit and Risk subcommittee and is an independent director with experience across a broad range of New Zealand businesses and sectors. He is the current Chair of the New Zealand Lotteries Commission (Lotto) and a Board member of McKenzie & Willis and OSPRI. Mark has previously served on various Boards including CityCare, Apex Water, Paper Plus and St George's Hospital.
Mark was a senior executive at Kathmandu Holdings Ltd, where he was Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Operating Officer, as well as a Board Director for six years after the company listed on the ASX/NZX in 2009. He is a Chartered Accountant Fellow and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
The responsibility of the Board is to oversee DairyNZ’s strategic goals and make key decisions on how best to respond to the risks and opportunities impacting our farmers and sector.
Dairy farming is becoming more complex, which means we need to prioritise what we do, and how we do it, to achieve positive progress and make a greater impact.
All farmers who supply milk to a dairy company pay a levy. Your levy is invested in a wide range of programmes that progress a positive future for New Zealand dairy farming.
